Beauty and the Beast 2017 is a live adaptation of the 1991 Disney animated fairy-tale classic. Belle will be performed by Emma Watson. Dan Stevens will play the Beast. Luke Evans stars as Belle’s suitor Gaston. Ewan McGregor provides the voice for Lumiere, the candlestick. Emma Thompson is Mrs. Potts the Teapot, while Sir Ian McKellen is Cogsworth the clock.
The live adaptation will be kept true to the original. The Beast is actually a prince, who was transformed into a creature by an old woman’s curse. The curse will only end if he can find true love before the rose’s last petals fall.
